# Account Restrictions

###### 🌍 Non-Supported Countries and Industries

Okoora operates as a regulated financial infrastructure provider. In alignment with global compliance requirements and risk protocols, our services are restricted in certain jurisdictions and prohibited for use in specific industries and business activities.

###### ❌ Non-Supported Countries

We do not onboard clients or process transactions involving the following restricted jurisdictions due to regulatory, operational, or geopolitical risk:
* **Ukraine**
*Note:* While not fully restricted, transactions involving Ukraine may experience **delays** due to elevated sanctions exposure and systemic disruptions. Payment corridors are under continuous review.
* **Myanmar**
The banking infrastructure in Myanmar is currently offline due to military-imposed closures. As such, payments **cannot be processed** to or from this market until further notice.
*Additional countries may be restricted based on evolving global compliance requirements.*

###### 🚫 Prohibited Industries (Global) 

Entities involved in the following activities cannot be supported across any jurisdiction:
* Weapons, military-grade security systems
* Multi-level marketing schemes
* Political organizations
* Precious stones, metals, or unauthorized luxury resellers
* Adult entertainment and related services
* Drug paraphernalia, CBD, or controlled substances
* Gambling, betting, or lottery-related activities
* Ponzi, pyramid, or fraudulent investment models
* Illicit or non-compliant business practices (e.g., counterfeit goods, trafficking)
* High-risk extractive sectors (e.g., mining, scrap metal, energy trading)
* Speculative FX or crypto-related activities

###### Additional Prohibited Sectors (U.S. Clients)

In addition to the above, U.S.-based entities cannot engage in:
* Chemicals or controlled substances
* FDA-classified medical devices and pharmaceuticals
* Alcohol, tobacco, and nightlife venues
* Outbound telemarketing or cold-call sales
* Dietary supplements, seeds, or regulated plant materials
* Regulated financial services (without licensing)

###### ❗️Prohibited Activities

Clients may not use Okoora’s infrastructure to:
* Speculate on FX markets or profit from currency movements
* Settle transactions derived from cryptocurrencies
* Initiate or receive cash-funded remittances

###### 🛑 Prohibited Client Types

We do not support:
* Financial institutions acting as intermediaries for other FIs (“nested” or “layered” transactions)
* Shell banks or unregulated entities
* Unregistered charities
